I was listening to Indie 103.1 out here in So.Cal and this song called "Rebel Rule" came on by Iron Virgin. I was completley SHOKED because for the most part, it sounded just like "California Paradise" by the Runaways. Does anyone know anything about Iron Virgin and this song??

Ok, they are from Scotland from around 1974. It is so crazy how similar these songs are!!

Hey Emily,
You're right! It does sound amazingly close to 'California Paradise.' Unfortunatley, my relic computer has to stop and 'rebuffer' every 7 seconds, but I was able to hear most of the song and I do agree! Thanks for sharing that.

Hey Emily,
I can see why Rebel Rules reminded you of California Paradise. The music is almost identical. The vocal melodies are substantially different but that guitar and drum work is a blatant rip-off, IMO!

The rhythm and music ARE strikingly similar. Coincidence or was someone influenced by Iron Virgin's "Rebels Rule" 1974 single?
